Member Service Rep I (Teller)


 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operates on-line teller terminal to perform various transactions; cash handling such as deposits and withdrawals, depositing/cashing checks and making loan payments.
  • Processes cash advances, cashiers’ checks, money orders, government bonds, and similar transactions.
  • Opens and closes accounts daily. Processes assigned cash and transactions and balances at end of day.
  • Verifies transactions. Monitors deposit amounts and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Performs research as needed.
  • Is familiar with all of the Credit Union’s products and services. Actively suggests products/services of the Credit Union or refers members to appropriate departments to help meet members’ financial needs.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of member account information.
  • Maintains security of assigned cash and cash items.
  • Performs drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
  • Balances ATM daily as assigned.
  • Tracks sales for MSR incentive program.
