*Salary - $26.00 - $31.00/hr. - starting depending on experience.*
This role is primarily remote with 20 in-person days per year to enjoy company events and professional development activities.
Here is what you will be a part of with us:
- The primary responsibility for the Events and Communication Ambassador is to manage client and internal company events and ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to. Supervises coordination of activities to prepare for the day of the event. Produce organization events that are in alignment with the quality standards of the organization. Events include Company awards, Graduations, Team buildings, Winter Party, and additional events as requested. This individual will also be responsible for providing effective communication strategies that will build strong communications within the entire organization. This will include the corporate offices and satellite locations located in both California and out-of-state. This position provides administrative support.
The essential Functions of this role include, but are not limited to the following:*
- Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities.
- Hire, train, and educate staff on proper event procedures.
- Manage budgets and adjust when necessary.
- Book venues and negotiate fees.
- Oversee the preparation of invitations and send out at appropriate time.
- Work with managers and executive team to ensure all requests are met.
- Drive attendance to the event.
- Manage the promotion of events.
- Analyze event performance and prepare presentations.
- Define company brand through events.
- Ensure staff is adequately prepared for event.
- Pay vendors for their participation in the event.
- Ensure day of event goes smoothly.
- Manages the set up booths, flowers, decorations, and other event decor.
- Manage/oversee event timeline from conception to conclusion
- Create event deliverables to ensure production runs accordingly to schedule
- Provide direction to outside vendors and oversee coordination at events

- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with staff, executive management, students, parents, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team player with colleagues and administrators.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Proficient computer knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Previous experience in event planning preferred
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
