The opportunity:

Role is responsible for writing and developing strategic and customized content that articulates how DentaQuest will deliver IT and operational solutions that support the delivery of oral health care to members. The content will also explain how DentaQuest will cultivate positive customer experiences for members and providers participating in Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and Commercial dental programs. The content will be part of competitively procured RFP/RFI responses and presentations and it must clearly demonstrate DentaQuest’s market leadership position.

Individual will work in conjunction with IT and operations business leaders, subject matter experts, and business development colleagues to strategize on how to best articulate our solutions. The Senior IT Technical Proposal Writer will translate highly complex information into compliant, compelling, and absorbable content.

How you will contribute:

  • Write and edit technical content for DentaQuest’s RFP responses to clearly articulate complex processes into compliant, compelling, and absorbable information.
  • Interview and facilitate technical discussions with subject matter experts to transfer knowledge, develop new solutions, obtain direction and create alternative solutions.
  • Translate notes and inputs from strategic or technical solution sessions into working and logical proposal content.
  • Proactively stay informed on the organization’s best and latest offerings through regular meetings and discussions with various IT and operations departments.
  • Evaluate MMIS/MES trends and analyze competitor responses from a technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with Capture and Proposal Management leadership to maintain content for proposals, project management documents, and data that support a clear path to execution of winning proposals.
  • Maintain and update base content source information within overall content repository.
  • Functions independently, with broad direction from Capture Proposal Management (CPM) team leadership.

What you will bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in writing, communications, or other related topic required.
  • 7 years of government (Medicaid or Medicare Advantage) proposal writing experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience developing content specific to MMIS/MES delivery/operations, solution architecture, security, hosting, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content for technical and operational aspects of claims administration, electronic data interchange, reporting, clinical management, eligibility and enrollment for health care.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks with tight, often simultaneous, deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and discovery skills.
  • Highly motivated with a can-do attitude with supervision; works well in a team environment as well as carrying out basic less strategic tasks independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with senior levels of internal and external organizations.
  • Maintain and update base content source information within overall content repository.
  • Functions independently, with broad direction from Capture Proposal Management (CPM) team leadership.

Preferred skills

Candidate will:

  • have a strong understanding of and experience developing content on MMIS/MES, SaaS, technologies to support the customer experience, digital tools common in healthcare (apps, portals, texting, etc.), and IT security (HITRUST, SOCII, etc.).
  • be part of DentaQuest’s Capture and Proposal Management team that sits within the Business Development division. have demonstrated experience creating content for very complex bids and experience. Willingness to work extended hours and assist team members in meeting deadlines as necessary. Proofreading skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to handle demanding, deadline-driven situations. Must be very dependable and possess exceptional customer service skills.

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

  • Southern region: $85,600 -$128,400 annually.

  • Central region: $90,200-$135,400 annually.

  • Northern region: $96,500-$144,700 annually.

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $81,700-$122,500 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $96,500-$144,700 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $90,200-$135,400 annually.
