Job Summary: Responsible and accountable for direct nursing care on a given unit during a specific shift. Provides comprehensive clinical care and ensures that patient care is delivered in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and National Standards of Care as identified by respective professional organization and the vision, mission, values, goals and scope of care and services of the organization. Education & Experience Required: Completion of an accredited program of professional nursing
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration Required: Current State license as a Registered Nurse Current BLS/Healthcare Provider
Physical Demands for Essential Functions of the Job: Ability to assist with lifting, positioning and transporting patients of varying weights up to 500 lbs Ability to bend and stoop frequently during each workday Ability to walk and stand more than eighty percent of work time Ability to wear respirator and other protective clothing/equipment in exposure situations and according to unit specific protocols Visual and auditory acuity to be able to evaluate changes in the patient’s condition
