The School of Education at Florida Southern College invites candidates for a tenure-track associate professor position. The appointment begin! s August 2013.
The Educational Leadership program is designed for individuals preparing for positions in school administration, policy development, college or university teaching and/or research.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Teach subject areas including, but not limited to, issues in educational leadership, school improvement, district and state level reform, urban education, educational policy, and the scholarship of teaching
2. Advise prospective and active students
3. Serve on dissertation committees
4. Perform departmental and institutional service
5. Demonstrate scholarly activity in accordance with the rank of the position
6. Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Education
Qualifications:
1. Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership from an accredited institution
2. Minimum 3 to 5 years successful teaching experience in a K-12 public school
3. Minimum 3 to 5 ! years successful administrative experience
4. Minimum! 3 to 5 years successful teaching experience in an undergraduate or graduate Education program
5. Evidence of successful scholarship
