Under the direction of the registered nurse, the Emergency Department Technician provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, policies, procedures and standards. Ensures quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups to include the neonate, pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. Demonst! rates an ability to incorporate knowledge of patients age, gro! wth and developmental level into the provision of care. Supports the philosophy of nursing at Baptist Hospital. Also monitors and participates in the orientation of all new Emergency Department technicians.

Qualifications
High School graduate/GED. Graduate of a state approved Paramedic course. Minimum of one year experience as a Paramedic. Basic medical skills and terminology. Current Florida Paramedic license. CPR & ACLS certificates. PALS certificate preferred.
