Job Description
The RN Coordinator is a licensed qualified individual, with substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. The Coordinator will provide leadership based upon the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of the institution, Division(s), and Nursing. The Coordinator will plan, direct, and coordinate operational and personnel activities for their service area, in liaison with the Physician Chair(s) and Administrator(s). This may include leadership with cross-campus responsibilities or for multiple departments. Responsibilities will include collaboration and communication with staff, promotion of staff development, and maintaining a professional environment in which staff may grow and develop. The Coordinator will plan for optimal utilization of nursing staff, in collaboration with leads or supervisors, if applicable. The C! oordinator is responsible for environmental safety, competency! , and educational needs of the nursing staff and support personnel. The Coordinator will review and guide development of policies and procedures and define scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act of Florida. The Coordinator will work cooperatively with all members of the health care team, Nursing Administration, and Administration.
Basic Qualifications:
Current Florida license and BSN required. Minimum one year supervisory/leadership experience required.
Other Qualifications:
Five years operating room experience preferred. CNOR preferred. Demonstrates excellence in leadership ability. Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations with a variety of people. Demonstrates ability to collect, compare, prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of patients and employees. Understands how to effectively manage and cope with stress related to the care of patients! , families, and management of employees. Demonstrates ability to adapt and respond to unpredictable situations within the service area. Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing the nursing process as outlined in departmental competencies. Demonstrates knowledge of basic computer skills, to include: electronic medical record, internet access, electronic timekeeping, office automation, and purchasing automation. Must be flexible to meet the needs for the department and institution, based on staffing needs and emergency situations.

License or Certification:
Current Florida RN license required.

Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Monday - Friday; On-call responsibilities
Weekend Schedule: On-call responsibilities
Compensation Detail: Education,! experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity whe! n a job offer is extended. The position as a minimum salary of $2,368.80 every two weeks.
