River Point Behavioral Health is a 93-bed
treatment facility that specializes in quality behavioral health and
substance abuse services for adults and seniors. We offer a full
continuum of care through an integrated system of inpatient,
residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient
programs. Progressive professionals in the fields of psychiatry,
medicine, nursing, social services, education and activity therapy
provide our comprehensive services. We are conveniently
located near the intersec! tion of Beach Boulevard and University
Boulevard. The posi! tion is for a part-time Therapist who is
willing to float between our inpatient departments. The hours
will be daytime Monday through Friday and will be approximately 20 to
26 hours a week. The duties for a Therapist includes the

following:
Provides individual and group
therapy on assigned cases, including obtaining psychosocial and other
assessment information, referral source contact, case coordination
and discharge planning

Checks clinical department
clipboard for needed assessment information and completes report
within 72 hours, including weekends and holidays

Completes Patient Orientation/Handbook Acknowledgement as needed
with the patient.

Assures all case coordination is completed and documented in the
chart

Assists with completing releases/consents as needed
from patient and/or family.

Assists with
preliminary discharge plan formulation with the treatmen! t team and
family as an integral part of treatment.

Ensures that
therapies conducted are consistent with the goals and philosophies of
the program and supportive of each patient’s individual
treatment plan

Conducts didactic classes on specific
issues relating to patients’ current needs

Documents appropriate assessments and notes in patient chart as per
hospital policy and procedure

Charting is clear, concise,
and reflects weekly treatment plan goals/objective on a timely basis

Completes group notes in a timely manner

Completes all treatment plans in a timely manner and includes all
required clinical service objectives as needed

Assists
the primary therapist with documentation as needed

Assists the primary therapist with case management as needed

Attends treatment team meeting as available

Provides feedback to primary therapist on problems listed ! on
treatment plan

Checks the treatment plan for specific a! nd
measureable goals for the patient to achieve. These should be short
and long term goals

Documents referrals that are made for
services not provided by the facility as needed

Assures
that changes in diagnosis, legal status, medical issues, identified
problems and discharge plans are discussed with the primary therapist

Maintains and exhibits knowledge related to the treatment
of adults in an acute setting

Exhibits knowledge and
skill related to group work with adults

Demonstrates an
understanding of specific issues related to patients from age 18
through the older adult population

Demonstrates knowledge
of external service which can be accessed for adults upon discharge

Provides dual diagnosis care, as deemed necessary,
including group community resource work

Identifies
alterations in sensory perceptual images, recognizing the differences
between ill! usions, delusions and hallucinations

Provides
assistance as needed to nursing/admissions staff when they are
assessing an individual

Performs duties as assigned by
Program and Department Director

Demonstrates knowledge of

DSM-V diagnostic criteria and the treatment of:
(a)
Eating Disorders

(b) Somatoform Disorders

(c)
Mood Disorders

(d) Dissociative Disorders

(e)
Gender & Sexual Disorders

(f) Adjustment Disorders

(g) Personality Disorder

(h) Chemical
Dependency

(i) Anxiety Disorders

Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to do the following:

  • Must have a Masters Degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Preferably is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or
Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage Family
Therapist (LMFT) within the State of Florida o! r Licensed Prepared

  • Must be experienced in conducting! groups and individual sessions
with addictions and mental health in an inpatient
setting

  • Willing to work part-time hours from 10a to 5p Monday
through Friday
