Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Senior Director of Quality Improvement that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of Quality Management.
The Senior Director, Quality Improvement plans, develops and directs the Quality Improvement functions. The incumbent provides leadership necessary to achieve national best practice performance lev! els in quality improvement while implementing evidence based m! edicine/practices. In addition, the Senior Director ensures that the quality of healthcare services rendered meets or exceeds professionally recognized community standards, interfaces with a diverse range of clinical and administrative professionals, resolves sometimes-complex policy and service issues within the group and directs data analytic and reporting activities that are prescribed by customers and regulators in a multi-market environment. Incumbent ensures compliance with state, federal and accreditation requirements.

Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school.
Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS card.
Certification in Healthcare Quality by the Healthcare Quality Certification Board, or equivalent (preferred) 10+ years of quality improvement experience 5+ years in Managed Healthcare Excellent knowledge of JCAHO, URAC, AAAHC and NCQA standards 4+ years wit! h Medicaid experience 5+ years management experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
