Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing financial analysis and reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Process and prepare accurate and timely payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Calculate salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, and other related compensation elements based on approved timesheets, attendance records, and relevant payroll data.
  • Perform regular bookkeeping activities, such as recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining balance sheets.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection of invoices.
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory filings in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure adequate liquidity and minimize financial risk.
  • Monitor and review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as management and department heads, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure effective financial management.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven 2 years work experience as an Accountant in a factory.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Salary: ₦120,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
