Description: Vitas is presently looking of Home Health Aide (HHA) - Home Care right now, this vacancy will be placed in Florida. The Certified Home Health Aide is a non-exempt employee trained to provide personal care and services to the terminally ill to augment that care given by family members. Functions under the direction instruction and supervision of the VITAS nurse and/or the VITAS Team Manager.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have one (1) year direct patient care experience in an institutional setting. Please note that private care does not count towards the one (1) year experience required. Qualified candidates will work full-time M-F 8a-430p covering Walnut Creek, Alamo, San Ramon, Moraga, Orinda, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill and Concord areas for the home/board and care facilities. Qualified candidates must reside in Contra Costa County in order to respond to patient/family needs in a timely manner. Multiple full-time openings for all areas of Contra Costa County available. Good documentation skills. Ability to travel per job requirement.
Education
Certification in the state of California as a CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide) required. High school graduate or equivalent required.
