Job Summary:
Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as pat! ient advocate and responsible for nursing care in Newborn Nurs! ery and Post Partum units including, but not limited to, caring for the antepartum patient, high risk post partum patient and the mother/baby couplet.
Education/Degree Required:
Associate of Science in Nursing
Degree Preferred:
Bachelor of Nursing
Experience:
1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
Mother/Baby Nursing Experience
Newborn Nursery Experience
Certifications/Registrations:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS)
Licensures:
Licensed Registered Nurse
