Education, skills and experience:
Florida Board of Nursing - Registered nurse licensure or state certified Ph! ysician's Assistant .
Registered nurse with advanced training as Adult Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner FNP or state certified Physician's Assistant .
Three or more years experience in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Urgent Carepractice.
Must have experience with electronic medical records.
Must provide services to babies from 3 months and up, handle removal of foreign bodies, have suturing skills, handle fracture treatment and splintering, do occupational medicine, including DOT physicals, work with chronic and acute condeitions such as diabetes and asthma, amoung other urgent care presentations

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant shall render necessary and appropriate primary and urgent care services within the scope of the applicant's training and experience, under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or physician designee but must have the ability to work indepen! dently .
2. Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant sh! all render the following services to eligible members as may be directed by the FHCP Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and/or supervising physician(s). Such services shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
a. Family Health Care.
b. Medical histories and physical examinations.
c. Conduct Fitness for Duty evaluations.
d. Conduct alcohol and drug screenings as indicated.
e. Evaluate acute concerns and develop treatment plan.
f. Medication prescriptions, if applicable, and related to follow-up care.
g. Formulate care plan from member's data base and diagnostic test results.
h. Communicate with members regarding management of minor and chronic medical problems.
i. Confer with supervising physicians on a regular basis to provide continuity of patient care.
j. Communicate with members and member's family regarding health and patient management issues.
k. Make referrals for consultative services after review and coordination of suc! h services with a supervising physician.
l. Arrange for acute care when conditions for same are indicated.
m. Report life-threatening illnesses to the supervising physicians or to a consulting physician in the specialty the illness falls.
3. Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant will develop in collaboration with the physicians protocol to address routine chief complaints to streamline acceptable treatment plans.
4. Other duties as may be directed by the CMO and/or supervising physician(s).
5. May work extended hours and possibly half days on Saturdays at varying locations.
