The Mental Health Technician II provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to Ensure safety and well being. Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients. Assists with physical care under the direction of a RN. Promotes coordination of the unit by Completing orders; making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.
Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION: AA in Psych or Health Care
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Six months Health Care
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: BLS or CNA or PCT
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION: CNA, Patient Care Tech
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Teamwork, Clinical skill appropriate to position, Team Training.
