LPN â€" Licensed Practical Nurse Borinquen Health Care Center is currently seeking an experienced LPN to join their team Miami, FL. Job Responsibilit! ies: Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required Translate when it is necessary Supervision of Medical Assistants on the floor Monitors employee hours, and approves their absence leave Ordering necessary supplies for floor operation Able to perform calculations of EDC Keep floor statistics such as abnormal paps, trimester of initial OB visit, post partum visits, birth weights, positive RPR's and chlamydia and date of treatments, C-section referrals Treatments and injections, such as, but not limited to depoprovera, rhogam; immunizations, dispense medications, among others Assist the supervisor as unusual problems arise Support staff in assigned project based work Other duties as assigned by immediate s! upervisor as required
Education and Experience: Cur! rent Florida LPN License Current CPR Certification Minimum of 2 year of experience in a related field; Immunization experienced preferredAbilities and Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Strong interpersonal skills Ability to interact effectively with consumers, administration, faculty, and staff Handle information with high level of confidentiality Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment Ability to transport wheelchair patients to various clinic locations may be requiredCompensation and Benefits: Competitive salary; commensurate with experience Benefits package available To Apply: Please submit your resume via the APPLY NOW' button Equal Opportunity Employer
